The passing of Leonard Nimoy

The passing of Leonard Nimoy has been a blow to the nation. And we ALL miss him already.
In the TV show "Star Trek" he inspired us all: scientists, astronauts, and all the Star Trek fans . He also supported many of NASA's missions.

He directed three of the Star Trek movies, and guest-starred in a two-part episode in  the TNG TV series, which is a spin-off of the original Star Trek. His son Adam Nimoy directed two of the episodes.

We will always remember him as the faithful Mr. Spock. He lived long and prospered to the age of  83.

Nimoy's own final tweet, posted on Feb. 23 seen below. The "LLAP"  at the end is an abbreviation of Spock's "live long and prosper."
