Animation Compilation 3, Future Installmints, and Hans Christian Anderson

Ladies and gentlemen, you are gathered here today to here me talk your ears off about my lovely little pictures that move, Part 3.

That took way longer to make than it should have.

I don't really have anything more to say about this.

Except that I'm really stoked for the next installment.

"Are you teasing a mint animation?"
Except that I'm really stoked for the next installMENT.

Anyway, I've also been chugging along in the Fan-art and Character departments.

"There you go with mint thing again!"
Just let me show my stuff PLEASE!

So I have a big treasury of Hans Christian Anderson stories and...
"UGH! You do fanart of baby stories?!"
...And I like to flip through it and read a random story.

That is how I found the story of Anne Lisbeth.
It had so much vivid imagery I had to make a book cover.

Now this might not count as Ultra Vivid, but I still think it's cool.

"What is it?"
That, my stupid idiot, is an emotion chart. But instead of regular faces, it's a gas mask.
"Oh."

The End.

Animation Compilations, one and two

So (UUUUGH. Another post that starts with "so"!) I've been chugging along with animating in Blender, and I wasn't going to post much until I had a big chunk.
Well now I have too big chunks, so I think it's time to post.

Here is the first of the Animation Compilation series.

I'm pretty pleased with this second one. Although it is a second shorter. But anyway here's part two.

Black and white stuff.

So at this point with anniversarys, I stink. Let's just be glad the Squeaky Pigs persona is me, not like say, a romantic relationship. My gizzard would be ripped. As in, ripped out of my chest violently.
Let's also be glad that I don't need a gizzard.

But anyway, enough of apologies. Unless you want to apologize. I'm not stopping you.
"I'll never give in! It was all your fault!"
Please shut up counterpart. I'm trying to write.
"Well thats unfair to people with different opinions."
You, are inside my head. And this is an art blog. A personal art blog.

Okay he's gone.

So putting all that aside, I've been making some seriously big leaps forward in Blender.
Like having my renders be black and white.
"Looking from a tech history point of view, that's a leap backwards."
Again. this is an art blog. I don't have to make art with peak of technology.

These three images I rendered in Black and White and with outlines.

Chick sculpt, Illustration Friday, and what I've been doing.

So I finally got Blender! (Blender as in the free open source 3D graphics engine.)
And I have been makin' stuff. The new blog logo, profile pictures (that weird plant thingy was getting boring) and other untold, um, stuff.

The first thing I'll show you is the most recent thing I made.
I was messing with a sphere in sculpt mode when I thought: "Oh geez, the world is ending!!! If I don't make a blogpost soon millions of innocent people will die!!!" (#Return-of-the-three-exclamation-points #truck-load-of-orphans.)

So in honor of the name. I present thee... a chick.
"I thought this was a G blog?"
No, no, no. Think farmy.
"I thought you where more sensible then that."
The blog's called "Squeaky Pigs Art"!
"So you're making it about babes."
NO! Just look at the image. It's G alright?

And besides I'm not that good yet. (I wouldn't make something like that anyway. It's a waste of time I that I could be writing  or making something to entertain. In a good way.)

Deeper into Star Skunk: Relation to other franchises (Rant)

So when I talk to anybody about Star Skunk they'll either say: "Like Star Wars?!" Or "huh, nice."
The former is worse. 'cause I don't care whether or not there interested, because Star Skunk  doesn't even exist yet! And since I'm not asking for money or anything the latter just makes me feel uncomfortable. AND since I'm an introvert I'm pretty uncomfortable already!!!!!!!!!

Ahhh.

But anyway I've been developing Star Skunk in my spare time (which is extensive.)
And I've come across some problems.
Obviously.
People keep trying to identify Star Skunk with some other space movie or show.
("Will it have droids?")
And its driving me CRAZY!!!

What I want for Star Skunk is originality! I can't have that if people are expecting a fan fiction of that movie I've never seen!
Or if they think I'll just have Star Wars references left and right.

I mean, I will have references to stuff, but not just space movies or cop shows.

And that's not all! I told someone about it the other day and they asked me: "will it be DreamWorks or Universal?" (keep in mind he was around 7 years old.) I replied with: "It'll be Squeaky Pigs."
Which started the whole conversation about the name Squeaky Pigs! And I think I'll leave so you can do something productive. Like make a space YouTube show.

All my logos. From the past, in the present, for the future.

Logos are awesome. Fun, logos are awesome. Today I think I'll show you the maybe not so fun ones and the super duper fun ones.

We'll start in the very beginning. (A very good place to start)
The very first one I did was for Through the eagles eye, a blog with no published posts.

At that point I had no idea what I was doing so I had Blogger crop it down to size.

And here we come to the birth of Squeaky Pigs. The Squeaky Pigs Art logo.

I had been learning cartooning from a book, and wanted to share my artwork with the world.
And since I already new some of how Blogger worked, I just whipped up a logo, whipped up a blog, and woosh! Squeaky Pigs Art!

All our nerd feeders

So we all have nerd feeders. WHAT?! Let me rephrase that. Imagine Everyone with a few tanks in there mind... WHAT?! ...some are labeled, some are not. When we watch a movie, stair at art, or listen to music, one or two of those tanks are filled.

We'll start with movies. Many people love Star Wars, (not me!) They watch it, they feel nourished.

Next we'll move on to art. Recently, my mom found an artist named Jake Parker. His style fully opened up a tank I didn't know I had until I saw his art.
Jake Parker
Also another tank I opened up a while ago was a CGI style called low-poly (which basically means that everything is simple.)

An old cowboy drawing

So, I've been looking through my old sketch-book and I found a okay cowboy drawing.

I touched it up a little with my pencil and eraser, and then I touched it up digitally.

cigar man

I drew this dude while I was sick .

I had to erase some other doodles that weren't as good. That's why there are some smudges.

It was also difficult to make his cane straight. (You'll notice I failed at that one.)

Sadly I couldn't add color because I only had
a pencil at the time. It's nice to have color.

The band of hungry animals

This trio is either "the dawn of a new era" or "a big meal," due to the absence of racism or the presence of food

The man is putting his heart into the music but he might be putting his heart into the bear's mouth.

I think this pig is the only one who's not very safe. because most men like pork.

This bear must be really hungry. Probably the main reason he came was for the human and pork. See how sly he looks?

Car salesman

This guy kind of reminds me of a car salesman who's bad at lying. He's got a sly grin.

I had a hard time coloring in his desk . My pastel set did not have the right shade of brown, so I had to rub my finger on it so some of the pastel would come off, making a lighter shade.
